The i-CAT FLX Cone Beam 3D Imaging System uses a cone-shaped beam to scan and capture a high-definition 3D full model of your mouth, airway and sinuses – rather than a series of flat x-ray images normally used by an orthodontist. In a few seconds, one scan provides enough data to diagnose and develop a treatment plan for your beautiful smile!

The award-winning technology used in 3D Orthodontics imaging gives a safer diagnosis, with less radiation than standard digital x-rays, adds increased comfort for patients who are seated in an open environment with plenty of space, and allows views of all anatomies such as bone, teeth, tooth orientation, tooth and nerve relation, airways and sinuses. This increased visualization is extremely important, not just for dental or orthodontic needs, but also for TMJ and airway analysis, orthodontic and oral surgery planning.

Getting the full 3D picture

Dr. Greenberg uses 3D orthodontics imaging because it’s far superior to traditional digital 2D x-ray for evaluating the full facial and dentition in exacting detail in order to give a more accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for orthodontic issues. Not only that, but having the higher level of detail allows measurement of sinus and airway passages in order to automatically compute the total airway volume, and view segmented areas of constriction to aid in the treatment planning of obstructive sleep apnea and other airway disorders. With our 3D orthodontics imaging system, you’ll be able to visualize everything needed to move your teeth before you start orthodontic treatment.

The bottom line is that the more anatomical information available, the better Dr. Greenberg can diagnose and develop an effective treatment plan. Coming into our Ortho Consult, I knew my son was going to need a lot of orthodontic work. Gayla (new patient coordinator) and Dr. Greenberg were so warm and made us feel welcome, comfortable and thoroughly explained everything to us. I was referred to Dr. Greenberg back in 2007 for my braces as he is one of the top orthodontists in all of Dallas. Rest assured, that is true and he won’t stop until everything is perfect. 10 years after my braces removal, I had some minor shifting and went straight to Dr. Greenberg for Invisalign. Nothing has changed and Dr. Greenberg is still the best in Dallas! One of the biggest things I want to share is DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT try and cut corners by using an at home “Invisalign” program. Look at the reviews for Smile Direct Club…shall I say anymore? But it’s more than just aligners. First and foremost, Dr. Greenberg is taking scans, NOT molds. Secondly, he is supervising the entire process. Third, you may need your teeth shaved for them to go back in place. Lastly and most important, Dr. Greenberg is not going to stop until you are happy even if that requires an extra set of retainers for some further tweaking. Your teeth and smile are extremely important. If you want it done right the first time, go see Dr. Greenberg.

We love Dr. Greenberg!!! He’s great with the kids (very funny), spotless facility and always on time. We priced similar treatments with two other Orthos and he was on target. What I really love is that he’s always ON TIME. I know I mentioned it before…but when was the last time you could set your watch by a doctor? So if you work, or don’t want your kiddo to be gone two hours for a follow-up, he’s your guy. He also has after hours service that’s great.
