COVID-19 has accelerated and revolutionized the use of technology in all aspects of our daily lives! In 2020 we’ve seen the “virtual” landscape explode with virtual offices, virtual learning and virtual telemedicine! Good news … virtual orthodontic care is no different! The team at RxSmile has taken the next step to streamline our virtual experience and expand our patient treatment care opportunities with the new HIPPA compliant virtual patient/doctor platform offered by the experts at Invisalign®.

New patient-focused service = Less in-office visits

These virtual consultations/appointments offer YOU the patient, time-saving amenities and extra safety precautions as we continue to limit transmission/exposure of the coronavirus. Rest assured, you’ll receive the same, expert-level of customer service that you would in our in-office consultation experience, but without the need to drive to our office! Dr. Greenberg can connect virtually face-to-face with:

• new patients – to assess and outline a customized treatment plan, as well as discuss time, cost and answer any questions. There is no-obligation and no pressure to get started! You’re simply getting a virtual orthodontic screening directly from your laptop/phone, from the comfort of your home!
• current patients – to monitor and direct their treatment, address concerns and answer questions about their treatment progress. This opportunity is great for patients that are college students, kids with after-school activities, adults that travel for work or maybe have limited transportation. Our goal is to make your daily life easier by giving you convenient and flexible appointment options!

This new, online digital platform is easy-to-use, walking you through step-by-step how to take the necessary photos once your appointment is scheduled by our RxSmile team member. You’ll receive automatic appointment reminders via text/email. The virtual appointment with Dr. Greenberg will use ZOOM’s high-quality audio/video conferencing system.

How does it work?

STEP 1
Fill out our online appointment request form and tell us if you’re a new or existing patient, and what type of orthodontic treatment you have or are interested in.

STEP 2
One of our RxSmile team members will get in touch with you to set up a virtual appointment that works best for your schedule.

STEP 3
Once your appointment is in our system, we’ll text you a link to watch a video and upload photos of your teeth. Patients can submit progress videos or photos from the comfort and safety of their own home, simply using their own mobile devices. When we receive the photos, we’ll add them to your secure online account so Dr. Greenberg can review.

STEP 4
At the designated date/time of your call, Dr. Greenberg will meet with you virtually to discuss new treatment plans or monitor your progress with your existing treatment. Before the call is over, a team member will advise if your next appointment can be virtual or if an in-person appointment is necessary.

**Please note these photos were taken in a clinical setting by Invisalign as a demonstration of their virtual care app. You can accomplish this process by taking selfies, but it will be easier to replicate the images with the help of a friend or family member.
