Food for the Holidays

The weather is cooling off which means the holiday season is just around the corner! For many of us, it’s a time to celebrate, give thanks and gather around the dinner table with family and friends. Unfortunately, this time of year can be a stressful time for thousands of individuals and families in Collin County, who already struggle to put food on their tables each day. It’s a frightening statistic that many Americans are living on the edge of poverty, forced to choose between basic necessities like purchasing food, paying rent, or going to the doctor.

RxSmile Orthodontics and Frisco Oral Sleep Devices are joining forces with Minnie’s Food Pantry to collect non-perishable food items to prepare upcoming holiday meals, and/or any of the following year-round items the food pantry always needs:

• Peanut Butter
• Jelly
• Boxed Potatoes
• Canned Fruit
• Spaghetti
• Spaghetti Sauce
• Canned Mixed Veggies
• Vienna Sausages

Minnie’s Food Pantry is one of the leading pantries serving the North Texas area. Annually, they provide over one million meals to more than 60,000 individuals! Last year, they provided 13,752 complete Thanksgiving Meals, with 350 turkey meals delivered to veterans. Their mission is to serve healthy food, to people in all walks of life, with dignity and respect.

Join us in supporting our local North Texas community this holiday season. Please donate non-perishable food items to the RxSmile Orthodontics/Frisco Oral Sleep Devices office before December 12.
